I had been looking forward to Clint and Tamra’s Custer State Park Destination Wedding from the moment I met them for their engagement session. Sharing the Black Hills area with friends and family is one of my favorite parts of living in Rapid City and I couldn’t wait to be a part of this couple sharing Custer State Park with all their friends and family! The couple came from North Dakota to celebrate their happily ever after while providing a unique experience for their guests. From Washington to Florida, family and friends across the country traveled to witness this union.
Looking at the details, you would never guess this was a destination wedding. Tamra is incredibly crafty and thoughtful. She wasn’t going to let distance stop her from bringing a vision to life. She worked hard to transform the Custer State Park Pavilion and give her guests a great experience. Games and activities for children, blankets and bug spray just in case, and flower seed favors for the guests were only a few of the sweet details. It was clear how much Tamra loved flowers as well. Fresh peonies and other fresh cut flowers from Jenny’s Florals accented all the tables.
My favorite part of the day was seeing the love these two have for each other and how many people loved them. Ready for a big “awe!” moment? As he was waiting for the first look Clint turned to me and said “I never believed in love at first sight until I saw her.” I think it’s clear he is absolutely smitten.
Thank you, Clint and Tamra, for choosing me to capture your Custer State Park destination wedding! Your joy made it a day I won’t soon forget.
