I can still remember the moment Mollie called to tell me Leo had proposed, and at the same time asked (or insisted) that I take their engagement photos. There was no way I was going to refuse the opportunity to capture this exciting moment in my dear friend’s life! So, on a beautiful March day in Rapid City we met up at the Blessed Sacrament church for Mollie and Leo’s engagement photos.
There is something about open fields of tall grass, golden sunlight and a couple in love that makes me swoon! I cannot even count the number of times after a shot I would have a big grin and had to rush to show Mollie and Leo just how amazing they were looking in these engagement photos. One of my favorite parts was having Leo twirl and dip Mollie – something they were very good at considering it was through dancing that the two met.
After an absolute great start to their engagement photos at Blessed Sacrament we headed up Skyline Drive, the site Leo proposed, to try and capture a few sunset images. The sky was not quite cooperating with us, but Leo and Mollie’s love only continued to radiate throughout the evening. The chill in the air made it easy to convince the two to cuddle just a little closer for a picture.
There could never be a man more perfect for Mollie than Leo is (even though I’ll never forgive him for moving her up to North Dakota!). He’s a kind, gentle soul that always maintains a calm, level head. Mollie is a sweet, caring woman that never hesitates at helping someone in need. It is so clear the joy and love that Leo and Mollie bring to one another’s lives. I cannot wait for their September wedding in White Lake!
